Eagle eyed viewers of the BBC’s DIYSOS may have spotted a
team from Audience Systems Ltd pitching in to help in a massive makeover
challenge for Children in Need.
 

The show, screened on Thursday 10th November, saw the DIYSOS
team overhaul the Norris Green Youth Centre in Liverpool. Audience Systems
manufactured and installed a colourful tiered bank of Espace 628 seats in the
main hall – an eyecatching addition to the hall and a perfect addition for
performances and sporting events. �

The centre has already changed the lives of many children
and young people, steering them away from crime in an area blighted by
unemployment and gang violence. Over 50 young people attend the centre daily,
gaining positive experiences, and developing the skills and confidence they
need to succeed in education, employment and the community. Built 52 years ago,
the centre was in desperate need of an overhaul to allow it to reach out to
more youngsters and expand its curriculum.  �
Audience Systems was just one of hundreds of firms who gave
time and resources to the project. Marketing Manager Nina Parmenter said, “when
the BBC called, we were only too pleased to help. It’s great to get involved in
a project like this, and it’s been rewarding for everyone here to work on
making and installing the chairs. And having seen the programme, we’re so
proud. We really think the refurbished centre looks amazing.”
